Flaxman Pictures Presents
During my high school years I appeared in a total of five movies. The first two could hardly be called that at all - they are "The Holdup" and "The Student," two very low-key, somewhat embarrassing works that I've tried to play down, as you can see by the fact that they are forever confined to a life in the old Flaxman Movie Database.
Since 1997 I have appeared in three movies, two of which I did for classes. The other was David Tillman's sprawling single cam magnum opus, "Tomorrow's Another Night," which I received a Best Single Cam award for at the Television Arts Program Awards Dinner despite the fact that I wasn't really in their group (Tillman told me later that he would have insisted I receive an award if I hadn't been given one).
I devoted a lot of time and energy to both "Tomorrow's Another Night" and "A Choice of Weapons," the 8-minute film (about a quarter the length of "TAN") that I did with Redd, Gil, A-Klein, and Chris Fulda for English class at the end of sophomore year. I made several trailers for "A Choice of Weapons," a couple of which used to appear on the site, and still would if I didn't feel compelled to remove them for spatial considerations.
This past year, I did a movie for French class along with David Friggle and Deirdre Parsons that spoofed a movie we'd seen in class. Until just recently I really hadn't devoted any extra effort to it, but the other day I had a little spare time and so threw together a web page for it in the vein of my earlier "TAN" and "ACOW" pages.
I then decided that they might as well all go on the same page, a sort of "Flaxman Movie Database II," if you will. So here are the links to the movie pages for my three big high school movies, arranged chronologically.
