River View Miniature Golf (St. Charles, IL)

River View provided the eighth and final course on the mini golf odyssey that Alma and I had undertaken.  Sadly, by this point we were both pretty tired, and miniature golf is probably not something you want to do because you feel like you have to.  I missed innumerable short putts, including two in a row to take a horrifying triple-bogey on #10.  After a rough first nine, though, we took a deep breath and calmed down for the back nine.  Alma charged in with a 22, just one over, thanks to two holes-in-one; I added another ace as we both holed out at #12 (which had an easily reachable hole-in-one track), but we finished at 55 and 59.  Perhaps fittingly, it was the fewest number of strokes between us all day, as well as my worst score and Alma's second-worst.  We got out of the park about ten minutes before it started pouring, so at least we were left unscathed by the weather for the entire trip.
