A story: on Wednesday, the plan was to do a live sports cast on the 5:00 news from The Rock. But we can't find the little antenna for the RPU, so we take the big stand-alone one. Ben sets it up, and then, a couple seconds later as I'm looking somewhere else, it falls and hits me in the head. I'm holding my head where it hit me, and when I take my hand away after a minute or so, it's covered in blood. So I go over to Searle and they proceed to send me to the ER at ENH, where it is determined that I don't need stitches, just a little glue. (Glue?) So they glue this little part of my head back together and tell me not to shower until Saturday morning. So currently I have not washed my hair since 10:00 Wednesday morning, a span of 53 hours, and will not do so for another 19 hours or so. Ewww. There is no upside to this story except that the doctor at the hospital was female and hot.

The other day, my friend Dave from New Jersey sent me something he had written about the NBA season as a sort of wrap-up. Apparently he wanted me to put it up on the web. Now, not to say that that was kind of silly, but that was kind of silly. After all, if you have a desperate desire to be read, which he must, BigFlax.com is not exactly the big-time web forum. But having no better place to go, he came here anyway. And I salute him for that. Sort of. Anyway, here's this thing Dave wrote about the NBA season, which, unsurprisingly, takes a gratuitous shot at the Bulls. I should have expected nothing less.

I'm not updating this page much these days, am I? Well, that's because, among other things, I'm currently serving as the webmaster at www.wnur.org/sports, which is not soooo time-consuming but does serve as my main web outlet nowadays. Nonetheless, I have not abandoned this page, and so I present you with a new movie review: The Tailor of Panama.

Man, I'm tired. I just drove the team the whole way back from St. Louis after the second day of the NAQT ICT, after having had to wake up at seven. So since it's almost 2:30, I think I'll go to bed, and damn the NUR website, I can't stay up that late. I'll get to it in the morning, as though I didn't have enough things to do tomorrow. Anyway, you can read about the results of the ICT here - another year, another middle-of-the-pack finish for a team I went to an NAQT Nationals with.
